And the most important news...

Oh yeah, perhaps you were wondering about the kids. Well we still don’t want to say a lot right now but we can tell you this: We are in Mariupol, Ukraine along the Sea of Azov where it hot and somewhat polluted (with 2 huge Steel Mills that would make Hamilton, ON blush!), and hot somewhere We have had the unforgettable joy of meeting our kids, a 2 year old girl and her seven year old brother. Both are great children. The “adoption labour” is almost over….the joy of our new family is so close we can taste it.

I am so excited for you both!!

I tried to re-send my email since Donna said the first didn't come through. Not sure why it isn't getting to you :(

Mariupol - that's where our William is from! I'm curious if it's the same orphanage. We adopted from Centre Opiky (loosely translated Custody Center).

Fave restaurants in M'pol: Oscar Pizza, Celentano's Pizza, and the Potato House (all on Lenina). We did most of our shopping at Abzhora, and sometimes the Moscow Supermarket (it was in the ground floor of our apartment building).

Praying that all continues to go as smoothly as possible.

Yes, that is very good news. As far as the labour goes -- we remember it quite well. Keep breathing (and pray on every one of those breaths). The end will come.
As far as the heat goes, until we got air conditioning, we survived on cold showers, frozen water bottles (to rub on our tummies and necks on the train), and plenty of ice cream (our favourite was a 'creme brulee' flavour).
We hope you enjoy your time getting acquainted with your kids. Are they in the same orphanage?

Congratulations Donna and Murray!
We are so happy for you! The children are so fortunate to have you in their lives. We are enjoying "our trip" to Ukraine through your blog.
I have been trying for a week to post to the blog and it didn't work for me. Hopefully this time will. I emailed you too.

We think of you often.

Congrats! As far as not talking about the children... I understand. We couldn't post pictures of our sons face until after court. So we had fun taking pictures of him like they do of the neighbor guy Wilson on Home Improvement. :)
