Back in Mariupol

Well, after six days away from the kids we've come to realized that this whole parenting thing is something we most surely definitely absolutely overwhelmingly withoutadoubt want in our life.

We were back to see the kids today and boy oh boy is was great to see them again. Our boy (or at least soon to be boy) ran down the hall to hug us when he saw us. Our girl was a bit under the weather with a cold, but she cried when Donna had to give her back to the caregivers.

Stay tuned over the next couple of days and we'll tell you a little bit about what they are like. Maybe you'll even see some pics by the weekend....

Hi Donna,
I would like to make a suggestion if you allow. If you plan to teach your kids Ukrainian, before leaving Ukraine go to the books market Petrivka in Kyiv (it is near the metro station with the same name 'Petrivka')and buy Ukrainian children books, CDs and DVDs, because otherwise you will be purchasing them online, like we do now, overpaying and covering quite significant shipping cost. Books shops will work as well but prices could be a bit higher there. Also, if time permits, visit with children Kyiv Zoo, circus, and puppet theater and take late evening boat trip on Dnipro when all the bridges are brightly illuminated.

So glad you are back with your children! Can't wait to hear about them... and finally see them. William continues to ask about your son :)
